CELTICS PLAYOFF TICKETS HEADLINE WELLESLEY ABC’S SILENT AUCTION AT
SPRING BENEFIT “A NIGHT IN THE CARIBBEAN”
WELLESLEY, Mass. (April 15, 2008) – How about topping off tickets to a Celtics playoffs game (nearly courtside seats, Row 2) with a special night in the Charles Hotel’s Presidential suite in Cambridge?
The chance to bid on this dream evening is yours at Wellesley A Better Chance’s spring benefit, “A Night in the Caribbean,” on Friday, May 2, at Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley. The Caribbean-themed party starts at 7pm and features an open bar, dinner, and two live bands.
“This year’s auction features one-of-a-kind items, along with some great get-aways at top Boston hotels,” said Wellesley ABC co-president Mariann Youniss. “Who wouldn’t want to watch their beloved Red Sox at batting practice from the field, or stay for an evening at the amazing Presidential suite at The Charles Hotel?
“We invite the Wellesley community to attend the party, bid on these exciting items, and support our ABC scholars at the same time.”
Other auction items include:
•On-field Red Sox batting practice and a VIP tour at Fenway
•New England Patriots tickets with a limo to and from Foxborough
•Riding lessons at the esteemed Woodridge Farms
•Tickets to see Live with Regis and Kelly, in New York City
•An evening at the highly regarded Liberty Hotel in Boston
•A BOSE Wave Music System
In addition, this year’s raffle item is a three-night getaway to the Westin Hotel on St. John in the Caribbean, airfare included. Raffle tickets are $20 each and can be obtained from any Wellesley ABC volunteer or through the website, www.wellesleyabc.org.
The Spring Benefit’s ticket sales, raffle, and silent auction directly support the operating costs of the ABC scholars program, including academic support, student activities, house maintenance, food and supplies, and insurance.
Tickets to the party are $125 each. For further information or to purchase tickets, please email springfundraiser@wellesleyabc.org.
