WELLESLEY, Mass. (January 25, 2008) – Save The Date: Wellesley ABC will host its annual spring benefit, “A Night in the Caribbean,” on Friday, May 2, 2008, at Elm Bank Reservation, 900 Washington Street, Wellesley.  Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and plan to attend.

Dinner, an open bar, and dancing to a steel drum band are all part of the festivities. Last year, more than 200 attended the party.

“The Spring Benefit is an opportunity for friends and benefactors of Wellesley ABC to have fun, while raising funds that flow directly to ABC’s operating costs,” said ABC co-president Mariann Youniss. “Our Friday, May 2 event will be a lively, informal Caribbean party, with plenty of interesting raffle and auction items. Our Spring Benefit is a key fundraiser for Wellesley ABC. We look forward to continued support from the Wellesley community and beyond.”

The Spring Benefit’s ticket sales, raffle, and silent auction directly support the operating costs of the ABC scholars program, including academic support, student activities, house maintenance, food and supplies, and insurance.
