WELLESLEY, Mass. (November 20, 2007) – Wellesley A Better Chance announces a fresh new look for its website, including the ability to donate online to Wellesley ABC via a credit card.

Residents are invited to peruse the colorful, easy-to-navigate website, which can be found at www.wellesleyabc.org.

“Now it’s even easier for the Wellesley community to learn about and give to A Better Chance, directly through the website,” said Wellesley ABC co-president Mariann Youniss. “Every dollar donated helps our girls achieve great things with their lives, and makes a positive and direct impact on these young women.”

The website offers information on its alumna accomplishments, including the fact that 100% have pursued bachelor’s degrees or higher. The website also explains various volunteer opportunities, such as drivers, tutors, and host families. A red “Donate Now” button on the Home Page leads to a page where residents can give either by credit card or via PayPal.

The new website, which was built entirely by volunteers, coincides with the release of Wellesley ABC’s Annual Appeal, which appears in Wellesley mailboxes this week. Residents who prefer to donate via check can do so by returning their Annual Appeal form.

“However residents choose to donate – through the Annual Appeal or through the website -- we are very grateful for their support,” said Youniss. “This is an important time of year for Wellesley ABC, when our donors open their hearts to the larger community.”

Wellesley ABC is made possible through generous donations of time, talent, and money from hundreds of residents, businesses, and philanthropic organizations.

The mission of Wellesley A Better Chance is to provide academically talented and promising students of color from underserved communities A Better Chance through enrollment at Wellesley High School and participation in a residential program.
